Dr. Brett Long D.C.
Dr. Brett Long lives in Middle Tennessee with his wife, 2 sons and his chocolate lab where they enjoy anything outdoors as well as live music. He went through chiropractic school experiencing severe back pain from a childhood injury. What he found was that the traditional methods most chiropractor’s do didn’t necessarily work for him, which led him to search out the lesser known upper cervical techniques that only 1-3% of chiropractors practice.
The practice name of Longevity Chiropractic is not only a play on his last name, but an ideal goal Dr. Long thinks everybody should strive to achieve and think about whenever making health decisions for them or their loved ones. Achieving longevity means not only living a long life, but a healthy and enjoyable life. Dr. Long believes the best way to achieve this is to use natural means whenever possible and not resort to drugs and/or surgery before taking the time to rationally think about your body, how it works and what you can do to improve your own health.
In addition to the traditional chiropractic methods, Dr. Long practices a gentle postural correction technique known as QSM3 that doesn’t involve any cracking/popping/twisting of the spine, making it suitable for everyone from infants to elderly. By focusing on correcting the patient’s posture from head to toe, the body is put in its optimal state for healing and overall function.
He is also certified in the WEBSTER Technique, which is an absolute must for all PREGNANT WOMEN so they can experience a more comfortable pregnancy and less difficult / painful labor while also minimizing the chance of birth trauma and breech presentation by keeping the body untwisted, where it’s supposed to be so baby knows where to go.
These gentle methods of adjusting also work great for infants as well as the elderly, and even post surgical patients that can’t necessarily have their body twist all too well, and for those who haven’t found the relief they were looking for from other chiropractors using the traditional techniques.
Throughout your treatment at Longevity Chiropractic you will be taught simple corrective exercises that re-train your body how to move the way it’s designed to, giving you both the knowledge and ability to manage your own condition for years to come.
